I graduated from the RCA in 1990 and went on to work in the fashion industry as a designer in Germany,Italy and returned back to the UK in 2000. In 2009 I was diagnosed with a rare form of Melignant Melanoma which has resulted in me having an eye removed,my left upper jaw and the roof of my mouth. Over the last six years I have undergone extensive reconstructive surgery and had to deal with the spread of the melanoma to my liver and augmentum which were both successfully removed. During the process of my face being reconstructed a 3D model was printed of my skull which has led me onto the idea of using this technique in the design world.
